I am a super-fan of Google. I just love that company, their vision, their services and everything else about them. It may not strike you what an excellent company they are. Think Google:

1) Differenciate and Win - Think Outside the Box

About the time Gmail came out, many ISPs and email providers were scrambling to offer more space, simply because Google offered 1G of space. They just didn’t get the point that it was not entirely about more email space.

In fact the whole concept of Gmail is different to any regular mail I have used, and Gmail users can testify to that. The result? They crush competition and make efforts from Hotmail (money minded bunch) and Yahoo Mail seem childish in comparison.

Today I log into my account and Gmail now offers a super-cool desktop mail alert system, and they allow you to set all “mailto:” website email links to default to Gmail. Brilliant! Bye bye Outlook, bye bye Hotmail

2) Give Customers What They Want

I think the guys have already proven that with AdWords and AdSense which came out of nowhere and beat the competition flat out in record time. Why? Simply because it was something marketers and advertisers were dying for. Google simply recognized that and gave it to them!

3) Keep it Simple

Everything about Google spells simplicity. But dont get it wrong. They are probably the most innovative company at the moment. The fact that they can present their complicated technology in such a simple way to end-users is an act that every company can envy. Have you ever heard anyone complain about Google being too complicated?

So the lesson here for home business entrepreneurs, especially SFI Affiliates (me included). The way to success in a business:

1) You don’t have to be the first. You just have to differenciate yourself from the competition.

2) Focus on customer needs, and they will flock to you.

3) Keep things simple and don’t indulge in unnecessary details.
